I stood before the cross today
I knew my sins were washed away
And as I took the bread and wine
I was overawed by the love divine
That came down to earth for me.
Then as I looked up to the heaven’s blue
The sun came out, warming me through
I felt God’s love hugging me tight
I know everything will be all right.
