Brass does not have the value of gold
Yet is a great reflector of light
But if it is left unpolished
It gets tarnished and doesn’t shine bright.
In a way my life is similar
Sometimes there are things that hurt me
If I allow myself to be honed by them
Friends will notice me glowing more brightly.
