The Great Exchange
The declaration of imputation
Is the only means of my salvation
For when Jesus died, crucified
All my sins, in a sense, died too
And as they were all imputed to Him
There’s nothing left for me to do.
My sins were transferred to the Son of God
And His righteousness to me
So that I am reconciled to God
Have new life for eternity.
Now because of this wonderful exchange
I’m accepted and approved by the Father
Standing before Him holy and complete
I fall down in worship at His feet
For His love, grace and mercy have set me free
From sin, to love Him in return for eternity.

Grace
Grace is unmerited loving favour
To me, from the Almighty, my Creator
Grace is the very character of God
Overflowing to me in unconditional love.
Nothing I can do will earn me God’s grace
Nor ever bring me into the place
Where I can stand before Him justified
With all my wrong doings rectified.
Grace is fully seen in the crucifixion
When God put all His love into action
By sending to earth His only Son
To receive punishment for the wrong I had done.
Because Jesus became a sacrifice
I am able freely to enter in
To enjoy all that God has for me
Starting now on earth and through eternity.

The Waiting Father
Grace reaches out to where I am
Invites me gently to return home
Grace tells me that although I have wandered
I have never been left alone.
For Father God has been watching me
Patiently waiting for me to come
Loves me so much has already forgiven
All the many wrong things I have done.
Now, as I approach, He is standing there
Looking, waiting with arms open wide
To welcome me back with a robe
Ring, shoes and a wonderful party inside.
I’m home, accepted, no questions asked
I have nothing to do but to take my place
Accept that all Father God offers me
His love, His mercy, His amazing grace.

Sufficiency
Lord Jesus Christ
What can I do?
I really want
To work for you.
In my distress
I hear Jesus say
Just keep close to me
That’s the best way.
There is nothing for me
That you need to do
Except love me
My grace
Is sufficient for you.
So now I just rest
Secure in His grace
Content to love Him
To look in His face.

Ineffable Love & Grace
Beyond understanding
Is God’s amazing love
Leaving for me
His home above.
He came to this earth
Had a lowly birth
Then with a carpenter’s hand
Worked as a man
Lived day by day
Followed the plan.
Obedient completely
He came to fulfil
Every part of the Father’s will
Then hung on a cross
Died in my place
Wonderful love
Ineffable grace.

The Pebble
The stone that once was so jagged and rough
Is now rounded and gently smooth
It’s roughness is gone
It’s lovely to see
A beautiful object
Delighted to be
Counted among God’s treasures
It has suffered so much
Been beaten and smashed
As great waves crashed
Until it was almost broken.
But the Master Creator knew what it would take
To make a pebble that could be for His sake
And He never once took His eye away
From the object of His grace
And if I turn the pebble round
Engraved beneath it will be found
What God has promised to be.
“WITH ME”

Receiving God’s Grace
“I’m fine. I do what I want.”
Self-reliance prevents me from having a relationship with my Heavenly Father.
“I’m so worried.”
Fear and anxiety hinder me from trusting Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
“I know what I am doing.”
Pride can keep me from the guidance of the Wonderful Counsellor.
“I can do it on my own.”
Independence denies me the power of the Mighty God.
“I’m trying hard but failing.”
Admitting I cannot do it on my own allows me to receive God’s grace.
God, in his love wants to be my Father
Give me peace of heart and mind
Guide and protect me every day
Empower me by the Holy Spirit
To live a fantastic life
By his amazing grace.

God’s Grace River
I watch the waters of the river pass
In a constantly moving flow
And I think of God’s never ending grace
That I’m receiving wherever I go.
The waters of this river change
Colours altering with the weather
But the grace of God never alters
It flows on for ever and ever.
Just as the mill can take this water
Turning it into power
So God’s grace not only saves me
But gives me strength to live hour by hour
Sometimes this river runs nearly dry
But God’s grace river’s always deep
I can daily fully rely on it
What I commit to it He will keep.

On-going Grace
I am saved through God’s grace
I stand complete in God’s grace
I walk daily by God’s grace
Because of God’s grace
I shall see His face
Hallelujah!

The Vastness Of Grace
I can never grasp the magnitude
Of all that God has done
How, in grace, He came down to earth
In the person of Jesus, His Son.
To understand the vastness of grace
I can turn to Psalm one o three
God forgives, redeems, heals, crowns, fills
And all this because He loves me.
Because of God’s awesome unfailing love
His mercy and compassion for me
I will praise and thank Him with all that I am
Worship from now through eternity.
