I often look into the sky
Watch the clouds floating by
I think of you.
I sometimes wander through the trees
See leaves gently swaying in the breeze
I hear you speak.
I pass along a crowded street
Am aware of the many hurrying feet
I walk with you.
Quietly sitting down to have a drink
My mind fills and as I think
Reach out to you.
I thank, praise and worship in prayer
How wonderful it is to share
My soul is thrilled.
Again and again I am left in awe
When I allow God to have His way
Not pushing on with what I want to do
But listening to what He has to say.
God’s thoughts are far above my thoughts
Higher than I can fathom
He can accomplish so much more
Than I can even think or imagine.
So I will dispense with my own agenda
For my ways are not God’s ways
I will stand back and watch Him work

Death is simply falling asleep
Hibernating through winter long
Until with the sun and warmth of spring
I’m awakened to sing the glad song.
A song of praise to my Creator
Who offered His Son so I could live

So by faith I just rest in God’s love.

Seek God’s help

Worship and praise
Acknowledge your helplessness

The Holy Spirit

Promise to be with you
So continue to worship

When knotted up with
Anxiety, worry, stress

This morning I watched
On the tree outside my window
Two birds.
A wood pigeon; a sparrow
So very different
One from the other
Sharing the same branch
Singing quite different songs
Living in harmony
Gracious, total acceptance
Of one another
And their differences.
What an example for, us
‘All one in Christ Jesus’*
Each singing our own song
Sharing the same branch
Praising God our father.
