Hands clasped in greeting
Accompany smiles on meeting
Hands clasped in parting
Transmit sadness when departing
Hands clasped in fellowship
Depict kindness and friendship
Hands clasped in love that say
“I am with you come what may.”
Hands clasped in promise too
Say “I’m always here for you.”
Yet all human hand clasps have to let go
But God’s mighty hand is eternally so.
