When I am feeling spiritually drained
Weary and tired, depressed and pained
The Lord refreshes my soul.
When I wander along a wrong way
Feel far from God, cannot pray
The Lord redirects my soul.
When I stumble, and keep falling over
And every small pebble turns into a boulder
The Lord fortifies my soul.
When I feel I just cannot go on
All the hope and joy in my life has gone
The Lord revives my soul.
The Lord does all this; he comes to me
Reminds me to read Psalm twenty three
That tells me he is my Shepherd.
By letting me rest in meadows green
Leading me to a peaceful stream
My Shepherd renews my strength.
So although when I’m feeling lost and weak
I’m assured that I’m loved and my Shepherd will seek
Will always restore my soul.
