Jesus always spoke with authority
Amazing those who heard
Because He is Priest, Prophet and King
Entitled to teach God’s Word.
As Priest, Jesus guarantees access
By His blood to the throne of grace
So, cleansed I can approach Almighty God
Speak freely with Him face to face.
As Prophet, Jesus gives me God’s message
Which will instruct, warn, comfort and guide
It’s a powerful word that I need to heed
When I have anything to decide.
As King, Jesus came to earth to be born
Eastern wisemen came with gifts to adore
He died as King but rose again
Now reigns exalted for evermore.
His Father has placed all things in His hands
In heaven, on and under the earth
Has given Him a name far above all names
So that every tongue will declare His worth.
