The Shepherd leads
He always does
He never drives from behind
He’s already faced
What lies ahead.
I’m free to follow
Or wander instead
But it’s only Jesus
Who knows the way
I should take
Should follow each day.
So
However long it takes to get there
Or however hard the path
I’ll keep following Jesus
As He calls out my name
He knows the best pasture for me
And he will safely see me to where
The perfume of lavender fills the air
And beauty of roses is everywhere
It is there I’ll relax, rest & stay.
