I went to my garden in the morning
When the grass was still wet with dew
I stood admiring the beautiful trees
Heard God say, “I put them there for you.”
Mid-morning whilst hanging clothes out to dry
I got stressed, I had so much to do
I heard a voice behind me saying
“You’ve forgotten, I am still here with you.”
At midday I sat down to eat
A sandwich; drink a cup of tea
As I ate and drank my thoughts turned to God
When I heard, “I’m glad you’re thinking of me.”
Late afternoon I decided to rest
In the shade of the old cherry tree
Again I heard Jesus gently saying
“I’m here, give all your burdens to me.”
After a busy day working hard
Considering all I had to do, heard,
“Just cast all your cares and worries on Me
I’m with you and will carry you through.”
Late evening as my head touched the pillow
I knew that all through the night
My Lord would protect me for I heard
“All is well. I’m here. sleep tight.”
