No Goodbyes

Categories: Bereavement

We were never made to be parted
The original plan had no goodbyes
Yet every day of my life, everywhere
I’m aware someone’s loved one dies.

Those we love are taken away
And we grieve with hearts full of sorrow
But it was never meant to be like this
Mourning the past and fearing tomorrow.

Sand is slipping through the hourglass
Soon will come to an end, and then
I too will hear my name called out
Hear and see my loved one again.

For the date of the grand reunion is fixed
In an out of this world place above
Where all sadness and parting will be no more
An eternal home of peace, joy and love.
