Jesus left the crowd at sunset
Prayed until the dawn
Then went down and walked on the lake
And stilled the raging storm.
I need to turn my back on the crowd
Go up to the mountain of prayer
It is there I shall find an inner peace
That transcends all my worry and care.
Away from all life’s distractions
In that place of tranquillity
I shall gain God’s perspective
Know his steadfast stability.
