Leads to disappointment and frustration.
I must consider carefully my inward disposition
Whilst caring less about outward appearance.
When externals are more important than internals
Pretence and hypocrisy flourish.
When ritual replaces reality
Liberty and joy disappear.
The imposition of rules and regulations
Stifle and steer away from the real thing.
The real thing being an active relationship
With God’s Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
Jesus, the One who broke the constraints of religiosity
To bring us into a Father/child relationship with Almighty God.
