God shows up in unlikely places
He is unpredictable
Instead of choosing a palace for his birth
He chose an animal’s stable.
It was just a normal working day
When Moses was watching his sheep
From a burning bush he heard God speak
And quickly took the shoes off his feet.
Worried men in an upper room
Were locked in because of fear
When miraculously God stood in the midst
And they had peace because he was near.
Two were returning to their home
With eyes downcast; feeling sad
God showed up; walked along with them
And left them feeling glad.
Today as I try to do God’s will
And everything’s in a mess
I still believe that God’s in control
Will unpredictably come to bless.
