To believe only in what I can see
Hear, touch, taste, smell, feel
Will stop me from searching and finding
Purpose in life and a meaning that’s real.
Thankfully God offers me far, far more
Than the short-sighted view held today
He speaks of me finding fulfilment in life
Through His Son, the Life, Truth and Way.
He offers me peace of heart and mind
And so much more I can read in His Word
If I study what He has to tell me
My thinking will no longer be blurred.
I shall clearly see what God intended for me
How I can again become whole
For I’m not only created with body and brain
But also with spirit and soul.
So I’ll determine to open the Bible
Read all that it has to say
