Doors

Categories: Bereavement, Hope

As I’m on my own now, more and more
I want to rest, feel safe and secure
Yet God won’t let me shut the door.

He encourages me to get up; carry on
Will not let me rest in my comfort zone
But promises He’ll never leave me alone.

So I’ll cross the threshold of all my doubt
Open the door and step right out
Move purposefully forward; stop floundering about.

For God’s planned the future I cannot see
He will not fail or abandon me
But bring me safely through the door to eternity.
