Hearing a clarinet concerto
A newborn baby’s cry
A loving hug from a dear one
All bring tears to my eye.
Yet these are never tears of sadness
But genuine tears of delight
When emotions of my heart overflow
And my deepest feelings take flight.
Good results when I expect bad
A call when I’m feeling low
Always bring me joy and fresh hope
Causing happy tears to flow.
I am so pleased my heart contains
Sad and glad tears that can flow
For what is hidden in my heart
My tears will clearly show.
