I stand in a doorway looking back to the past
Today the door’s open though it’s usually shut fast
As I stand there looking I can see all that’s gone
Remember so many moments; visualize each one
But turning to look in the other direction
The future stretches out and I can only imagine
All the obstacles I’ll meet when I go this way
But God has promised His Presence each day
So I’ll step into the future without any fear
Remember, not dwell on what happened last year.
