Why a star
When Jesus was born?
Why did angels sing
That first Christmas morn?
They sang because
Peace on earth had come
For Father God
Had sent His Son.
The star lit the way
To a baby in hay
Where wisemen adored
Christ Jesus, the Lord.
At the present time
When we see and hear
Let’s not hesitate
But in awe draw near.
Led by the star
From near and far
Whilst angels sing
Worship Christ the King.
