Add-ons clutter, confuse or dilute
The simplicity, clarity, purity
Of God’s action through His Son
That he had planned before time had begun.
Well-intentioned efforts
Embellishments, improvements
So many add-ons invented by man
Get in the way, disrupt God’s plan
His perfect plan to reconcile
His special creations with Himself.
So let’s get rid of flawed religion
Sweep away all the add-ons today
Return to God via Jesus the Way
To talk directly to Father, Creator God
Enjoy being with Him, reading His Word
Refocusing on Jesus and what He has done
By a simple act of faith without a single add-on.
