I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s love.
When my day is long and work is hard
I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s strength.
When nights are broken and I cannot sleep
I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s peace.
When I’m at the end of my tether
I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s faithfulness
When things go wrong and bad things happen
I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s goodness.
When I feel sad and disillusioned
I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s comfort.
When others mock and I feel used
I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s forgiveness.
When I feel burdened and battered
I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s mercy.
When the day is bright and everything’s all right
I choose to trust
I will rest in God’s joy.
I choose to trust and rest in: –
God’s love, strength, peace, faithfulness,
Goodness, comfort, forgiveness, mercy
And joy!
